St. Augustine Fashion Week: Season 3 was held March 22nd-24th at the Lightner Museum is St. Augustine, Florida. This 3-night event kicked off with a VIP Mixer/meet-and-greet, followed by two nights of over 20 brand designers in a high-energy runway showcase. Vip seating came with complimentary cocktails (and ya'll know how I like my cocktails complimentary) and there were plenty of vendors to shop during intermission.
Now this show had some amazing looks and I enjoyed watching all of the unique pieces come down the runway. Below are some of my favorite looks:
Now my favorite designer of the night goes to....Souadou Barry, designer of Fulani Handbags. When I say she had some dope designs and I could tell that they were very high quality and made with love. She had a duffle bag on the runway and I just about passed out (i'm OBSESSED with duffle bags if you didn't know lol)
This full-sized selfie mirror was definitely one of my favorite concepts. So cool!
So yes I went, I took pictures, I networked, I danced a little, and I enjoyed myself. So there aren't any official dates for St. Augustine Fashion Week: Season 4, but by following their trend it should be sometime in the fall. I'll definitely be there, whenever it is !

Whats up my loves! So its week 2 of 10 for me in my Mind and Body Detox challenge that I created and I can't lie, i've been CHEATING like no other. Luckily i've been workout out heavily too so everything is balanced out but i'm definitely going to put in a stronger effort for the remainder of the weeks. No pain no game baby!
So I want to chat with y'all about realistic expectations when dating someone, because we all know how that goes right? Nope. So background story goes like this: I was dating this guy on and off for about 3 months but I had to break it off because of......"conflict of interest", or pretty much he couldn't meet my expectations of what a man is supposed to do or be. Pretty much he wanted the coco but didn't want to put in any real effort to earn the coco ( because its not given out boo) . He even told me that my expectations of him are "unrealistic" ( como?) His definition of effort was "lets go see a matinee movie(SHADE)" or "lets get a bottle of wine and watch Anime". Now I love me some wine and anime, but is that enough to entice me to give up some goods? Absolutely not. Especially for a woman like me, who is pretty much used to getting any and everything someway, somehow. Now here is where the expectations come in:
I expect guys to take me on dates, open car doors, open doors for me, and buy me things (they don't even have to be expensive). I expect for my man to call and text me and to respect me and my time. Why? Because I know my self worth and a partnership is supposed to be beneficial to both parties. Beneficial is not be confused with convenient, because lord knows relationships can be inconvenient at times (but if they are meaningful we are willing to make it work). Those expectations to me are realistic and not hard to fulfill. Now if I was walking around asking every guys to pay my bills or to call me everyday at exactly 3:45 PM then I can see the term unrealistic being used. But there are just certain things that a guy is supposed to do for his woman, point blank period. Having realistic expectations really is vital because it will help ensure that you get what you need mentally, spiritually, and physically from your partner (not saying that it will definitely make it happen, but it helps).
Now if the above expectations are realistic somebody tell a sista, I'm just trying to live a little. But I don't think they are , and if you do then reconsider how you feel you should be treated as a person.
Oh, and ladies keep the coco to yourself and make him work for it, its a great feeling.

Below is a video that I recorded a few days ago after an unsuccessful night out with my girls, and I came to the realization of the importance of time management. Enjoy !
CYBER by MAC Cosmetics has to be my favorite lip color. Ever. The versatility of the shade and how you can play with beautiful ombres depending on the lip liner color.
P.S.: I embodied my inner hand model. S/O to Neo Nails Miami for the nail slay. Slay on.
Note: Days in the east is like one of my favorite songs ever. Shoutout to you Drake, shoutout to you.
Days like these are days that make life's challenges worth it all. Relaxation, friends, and a bottle of wine can do well for the mind (Hey, that rhymed!....kind of). When we face obstacles its best to deal with them with a smile! 2015 is the year of sheep, meaning it will be calm, gentle, and fulfilling. With a lot of self-fulfilling goals to accomplish within myself, I am ecstatic at the journey to come.
President Obama's State Of The Union address is tonight at 9pm and is available to stream online at PBS.org. This year one of my new year's resolutions is to be aware of more current news events(other than fashion), so I will be tuning in. If you don't have anything planned, tune in and listen to what our president has to say. Who knows, maybe he will speak on the racial police brutality events of 2014.
Be blessed !

Fashion Happy in Wynwood was so fun and the only place to be on March 28th. On top of the usual great vibes, drinks, and shopping that Fashion Happy Hour hosts monthly, this FHH was hosted by three fashion bloggers and consisted of five additional guest fashion bloggers (myself included) styling models from the D.A.M.A. School in Miami using clothes and accessories from the vendors that showcased their products that evening. So.Much.Fun ! My model Grace was a sweetie pie and had the best vibe and we definitely did some goofing around, but all in the good name of fashion. After being styled, the models modeled the pieces for a mini runway session for all to see.
Some of the vendors that we got to choose from were Alma Mei, Love Shopping Miami, Daniela Millan Designs, Addiction to Shop, Chapter III Creations, Tarbay Jewelry, Bombshell Boutique, Shop Arm Party and Original Aura.
The seven dope bloggers that I got the pleasure of meeting and hanging with were D’Ana of Collections + Volumes, Maya of AlamodeMaya, Veronica of Fiercely Thiftin’, Bianca of Bianca’s Fashion Corner, Kat of Freshly Squeezed Fashionista, Marivette of Loud and Tasteless and Kelia of KasinKeila . Everyone was super nice and we definitely took the spotlight .
All in all, this was my top three events that I have been to this year ( and I go to a lot, which says something). If you missed out don't be upset, Fashion Happy Hour is having its One Year Celebration for the month of April on SouthBeach and will definitely be a good time ! If you want more information, checkout www.fashionhappyhour.com .
See ya !
